What is Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)?
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program offers a pathway for newcomers aspiring to settle and work in the province. Specifically tailored for skilled workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs, this program is aimed at expediting the immigration process while fostering contributions to Manitoba’s economy.
There are three main MPNP streams that you can apply for permanent residence (PR) under:
-
1. Skilled Workers Stream: for foreign skilled workers who have the skills needed to fill jobs in the local labour market and wish to make an ongoing contribution to Manitoba’s economy and community.
-
2. International Education Stream (IES): for international graduates from a college or university in Manitoba who wish to live and work in the province and are seeking a faster pathway to PR nomination.
-
3. Business Investor Stream (BIS): allows Manitoba to nominate and recruit international business investors and entrepreneurs wishing to start or purchase a business in Manitoba.
-
A brief overview of how the Skilled Workers Stream within the MPNP works:-
-
– You must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). This means you have to complete a series of questions online. Based on the answers you give; you’ll receive a score.
-
– The highest scoring candidates may then be invited to submit an MPNP application.
-
– If successful, You will receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba. You can then use this nomination to make another application directly to the Canadian federal government for permanent residency visas for you and your family. If you are an Express Entry candidate, you can do this through the Manitoba Express Entry system.
